Job summary

Aztalan Bio LLC is seeking an experienced Safety & Security Coordinator to lead environmental, health, and safety activities plant-wide. You will ensure compliance with EH&S policies, provide direction, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Responsibilities include developing safety standards, training programs, regulatory compliance, and incident management, with a focus on environmental permits and reporting. Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environment, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information from regulations, bulletins, and research and relay to management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and communicate EHS goals; develop strategies and tactics for a safe workplace.
• Develop and maintain safety standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update safety practices accordingly.
• Design and implement training programs on safety standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Title five air permit, wastewater, groundwater, and storm water regulations.
• Manage plant safety programs, safety committee, and safety incentives.
• Conduct EHS inspections and audits.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and workers' compensation matters.
• Manage EHS corrective and preventive actions and timelines.
• Ensure timely safety, environmental, and sustainability reporting to external agencies.
• Evaluate and procure safety equipment as needed.
