Job summary

Sysco is seeking a senior health, safety and environmental (HSE) leader to drive prevention-focused programs across operating companies. The role will develop and execute a Sysco-aligned HSE strategy, including security and crisis preparedness, and collaborate with senior management to meet corporate goals.

The position emphasizes audit, training, incident investigation, and cross-functional leadership to reduce incidents and improve safety culture across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certifications or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of hands-on environmental and safety experience in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or transportation operations.
• Experience with occupational, transportation, and environmental compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop HSE strategy in support of Corporate HSE and Security goals.
• Create HSE plans to reduce injuries, accidents, and incidents.
• Communicate HSE strategy with Senior Leadership.
• Support site management in implementing HSE plans.
• Design metrics to track progress and drive accountability.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for management and associates.
• Audit local compliance with Sysco's HSE policies and procedures.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
