Job summary

TreeHouse Foods in Wayland, MI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead all EHS programs at the Wayland plant, ensuring safe, healthy, and compliant operations for non-dairy creamer production. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on EHS program implementation.
• Bachelors degree preferred in Safety, Environmental Science, Business Management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead change and influence safety culture across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with safety management systems and risk assessments preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives within the plant to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and continuously improve site-wide safety, environmental, and risk management programs (LOTO, machine guarding, PIV, hot work, emergency preparedness).
• Oversee incident management, including investigations, corrective actions, and safety metrics.
• Lead safety audits, hazard and risk assessments, and compliance reviews with site leadership.
• Coordinate emergency response and business continuity activities, including drills and incident command.
• Deliver EHS training programs to keep certifications current and compliant.
• Partner with plant leadership and safety committees to foster a proactive safety culture.
