Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking an EHS Manager to lead Vermont Creamery’s health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with corporate standards.

You will promote safety culture, sustainability, and continuous improvement while partnering with Operations, Quality, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain for business excellence. The role requires a Bachelor's in safety related field, 5+ years of EHS leadership in manufacturing, and professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Five or more years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; 100+ employees preferred.
• Experience with environmental compliance, wastewater management, and sustainability initiatives preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ASP, CHMM, REM, IHIT, or related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site safety, health, and environmental programs, policies, training, and compliance initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop and execute site EHS strategies, annual plans, and performance improvement initiatives aligned with corporate standards.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, risk assessments, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs, including wastewater, stormwater, waste management, permits, spill prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
• Partner with plant leadership to drive a strong safety culture, continuous improvement, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and corporate EHS teams to maintain compliance and support strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop safety committees and cross-functional teams to build organizational capability and accountability.
