Job summary

TreeHouse Foods in Wayland, MI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead all EHS programs at the plant and ensure safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

You will implement lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PIV, and emergency preparedness; oversee incident investigations and safety metrics; deliver EHS training and partner with site leadership to foster a proactive safety culture. Role is on-site First Shift with some overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing with EHS program implementation.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and initiatives.
• Develop and improve safety, environmental, and risk management programs (LOTO, machine guarding, PIV, hot work, emergency planning).
• Oversee incident management, investigations, and safety metrics to drive improvements.
• Conduct safety audits, hazard and risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate emergency response planning and drills.
• Deliver EHS training and maintain certifications and documentation.
• Partner with plant leadership to foster a proactive safety culture.
