Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Dixie® Consumer Products Operation in Jackson, TN seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Leader to partner with site leadership to drive PBM culture and zero-incident performance. You will own EHS risk systems, implement HIRA and safety training, and promote strong regulatory compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Environmental, EHS, or Engineering OR four+ years of EH&S experience.
• Strong knowledge of EH&S regulations and best practices.
• Experience and working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Experience developing site regulatory compliance programs and training.
• Experience using and applying effective safety management systems.
• Experience leading, supervising or building capabilities in others.

Responsibilities

• Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture.
• Partner with site leadership to influence all team members to embrace and achieve our Path to Zero Safety Strategy.
• Partner with site leadership to ensure facility risk profile is reduced through development and implementation of key objectives, strategies targets and measures.
• Responsible for all systems and processes that manage EHS risk at the facility (Compliance standards, Risk Management System, HIRA, Safety Improvement Planning, Safety Training, etc.).
• Communicates facility safety vision, strategies, and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster an environment where employees understand and exercise their decision rights regarding EH&S; integration of the EH&S vision.
• Facilitate EH&S ownership by the line organization through integration of the EH&S Management System.
• Drive continuous improvement using tools and activities; incident/near miss investigations; metrics; and periodic reviews.
• Coach, mentor and develop members of the safety team(s).
• Own and manage the injury management and workers compensation process.
