Job summary

Hazelett Strip-Casting Corporation in Vermont is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Lead to champion safety across manufacturing and maintenance teams. You will lead safety programs, investigate incidents, deliver engaging training, and partner with operations to drive practical, compliant improvements.

You will build a culture of safety, monitor metrics, and ensure OSHA/EPA compliance while aligning with company goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an environmental health and safety discipline or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy equipment environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership, culture, and employee engagement across the facility to encourage open reporting of hazards and near-misses.
• Develop and deliver hands-on safety training, toolbox talks, demonstrations, and visual resources aligned with equipment and processes.
• Lead fact-based investigations of incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics, audit findings, and corrective action progress to leadership.
• Partner with production leaders to develop practical, sustainable safety solutions that maintain safe operations.
