Siemens is seeking qualified candidates for an Environmental Health & Safety Internship beginning in May or June 2027, based in Wendell, North Carolina. The 12-week, on-site program offers hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems within the Electrification and Automation division.

You’ll gain exposure to future grid technologies and participate in EHS initiatives, incident tracking, and regulatory compliance activities while collaborating with a diverse, impact-driven team.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field and nearing completion.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the 12-week summer internship.
  • Located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; no relocation support provided.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Current enrollment must continue during the internship period.

Responsibilities

  • Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the facility.
  • Incorporate Siemens biodiversity initiatives into site environmental programs and assist regulatory compliance activities.
  • Attend daily operations tier meetings and respond to environmental and safety incidents.
  • Conduct EHS inspections and support corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist training record management, document updates, incident trend tracking, and other EHS projects.
