Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern for our Wendell, North Carolina office. You will support EHS initiatives, contribute to biodiversity programs, and assist with regulatory compliance in a collaborative, impact-driven environment.

The role is a 12-week summer internship based on a full-time on-site schedule (40 hours/week). Candidate must be enrolled in a related bachelor's program and able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences (OEHS), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Safety Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and approaching completion of their degree program.
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.
• Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives across the facility.
• Incorporating Siemens biodiversity initiatives into site environmental programs and supporting regulatory compliance activities.
• Attending daily operations tier meetings and responding to environmental and safety incidents.
• Conducting EHS inspections and supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
• Supporting training record management, document updates, incident trend tracking, and other EHS projects.
