Job summary

Siemens seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Intern to support EHS initiatives at our Wendell, NC facility. This 12-week summer internship starts May or June 2027 and offers exposure to biodiversity programs, regulatory compliance, incident response, and continuous improvement activities.

You will participate in training record management, document updates, and EHS projects while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or related field and approaching completion of degree.
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for a 12-week internship.
• Located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; no relocation support provided.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Program is a structured experiential learning opportunity for students continuing studies after the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives across the facility.
• Incorporate biodiversity initiatives into site environmental programs and support regulatory compliance.
• Attend daily operations tier meetings and respond to environmental and safety incidents.
• Conduct EHS inspections and support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Support training record management, document updates, incident trend tracking, and other EHS projects.
