Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to lead and support EHS programs, inspections, risk assessments and training across our facility in Indiana. You will investigate incidents, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, and coordinate safety initiatives to strengthen a proactive safety culture.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial EHS, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage documentation and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs, policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits and risk assessments at the facility.
• Investigate workplace incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and conduct employee safety training programs, including new hire orientation.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain EHS documentation, permits, reports and training records.
