Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance across our Nypro Inc. site. You will lead inspections, investigations, training, and waste management while promoting a strong safety culture.

The role requires 2–3 years of health/safety engineering experience, knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, and the ability to collaborate across departments. A CSP or CIH is a plus and Windchill experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• BS/AS degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, or related field (preferred).
• 2–3 years of Health/Safety Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and EHS regulations.
• Experience developing and implementing EHS programs.
• Certifications such as CSP or CIH are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and programs in line with regulations (OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits; recommend and track corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Provide EHS training on hazard communication, emergency preparedness, confined spaces, and lockout/tagout.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal and ensure proper handling and documentation.
• Monitor air emissions and wastewater to ensure regulatory compliance and permits.
• Maintain EHS records and reports for regulatory and internal use.
• Participate in EHS committee meetings to promote safety culture.
• Assist in emergency response plan development and drills.
• Collaborate with departments to embed EHS in operations.
