Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health and Safety roles.

• Experience in ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.

How will you make an impact?

As a Sr. Environmental Health & Safety Engineer at Jabil, Inc., you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive EHS programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. You will drive continuous improvement in safety performance, minimize environmental impact, and foster a strong safety culture across the organization.

What will you do?

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems, policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and Jabil's global EHS standards.
• Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring understanding and adherence to safety protocols and environmental practices.
• Manage environmental permits, waste management programs, air emissions, wastewater discharge, and chemical management to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize environmental footprint.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and human resources, to integrate EHS considerations into all business activities.
• Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to management, identifying trends and recommending strategic improvements.
• Stay abreast of new and emerging EHS regulations, technologies, and best practices to ensure Jabil's EHS programs remain current and effective.
• Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert on EHS matters for employees and management.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills, and provide support during crisis situations.

How will you get here?

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety roles, preferably within a manufacturing or electronics industry.
• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety, Engineering or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, risk assessments, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence diverse groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to EHS management.

The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
