Job summary

Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for an EHS Engineer at our La Porte, IN location. This role is a key member of the location’s EHS team, providing leadership and support to deliver results in a manufacturing environment.

The position partners with location leadership to advance EHS objectives and offers exposure to a broad set of regulatory and health, safety, and environmental responsibilities with potential for future growth within the business.

• Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fatality and serious injury prevention efforts and coach location leaders.
• Analyze injury and incident data and support focused injury reduction.
• Assist IH program, sampling plans, databases and exposure records management.
• Investigate injuries and incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities.
• Coach departmental leaders in EHS accountabilities.
• Partner with location leadership to deliver EHS objectives.
• Lead and assist with other EHS accountabilities.
