Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA seeks an EHS Emergency Response Coordinator to lead environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring site compliance and promoting a safe workplace. You will develop incident command structures, train ICs, and lead CERT operations while coordinating with regulators.

The role focuses on disaster readiness, regulatory alignment, and continuous safety improvements, with emphasis on leadership and program development across the site.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years coordinating emergency preparedness, disaster logistics, or industrial safety operations.
• Completion of FEMA courses IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 (National Incident Management System).
• Certified CERT Trainer, OSHA 30-Hour, and advanced First Aid/CPR/AED Wilderness or First Responder credentials.
• Expertise in hazard vulnerability assessments, radio communication protocols, and high-stress command execution.
• Proven leadership or management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop location specific Incident Command structures and support as SME for on-site ICs using ICS protocols.
• Create and deploy internal Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for disaster medical ops and light rescue.
• Design and implement evacuation routes and shelter-in-place procedures for diverse needs.
• Update emergency action plans annually for events like earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, or fires.
• Maintain OSHA 1910.38 compliance and local fire codes.
• Create crisis plans and drills to test readiness.
• Develop onsite ERT leadership and training for emergencies.
• Align EHS programs with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as liaison for EHS program implementation across regional facilities.
