Job summary

McKinstry is seeking an EHS Director to lead safety across its offsite modular manufacturing network in Spokane, WA. You will set multi-year safety strategy, build and lead the safety team, and partner with operations leadership to embed safety into fabrication operations.

The role requires a deep manufacturing background with proven experience in safety planning, risk prioritization, and driving a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• 5+ years managing a safety team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, local regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• CSP/CIH or OHST certifications preferred; OSHA 30-Hour required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the safety program across sites.
• Conduct safety audits, JHAs/PHAs, and incident investigations.
• Oversee OSHA/EPA/compliance and environmental permits.
• Collaborate with operations to design safe production layouts.
