Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manager of Environmental Health & Safety to lead the EHS team at our Vandenberg site. The role will oversee daily operations, develop site-specific environmental and safety programs, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards in a pioneering aerospace environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong EHS leadership background, 5+ years of program oversight, and experience working in high-hazard or aerospace settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of design, development, and operational oversight of EHS disciplines.
• 3+ years of EHS management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day and long-term activities of the EHS team (technicians, specialists, engineers).
• Coordinate with site leadership for EHS involvement in plans and procedures.
• Represent EHS in site-wide management meetings/briefings.
• Provide instructional guidance on procedures and techniques for tasks.
• Ensure mission and values are communicated and integrated into goals.
