Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to lead our EHS programs in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The role oversees a diverse team and works with site leadership to integrate safety into plans and procedures, representing EHS in management forums and guiding job-specific practices.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in EHS with 3+ years in management, plus relocation to the Vandenberg, CA area. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; engineering degree preferred.
• 5+ years designing and operating EHS programs.
• 3+ years of EHS management experience with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day and long-term EHS team priorities.
• Coordinate with site leadership on plans and procedures.
• Represent EHS at site-wide management meetings.
• Provide guidance on procedures and techniques for tasks.
• Ensure mission and values are reflected in team goals.
• Implement OSHA-based safety programs and documentation.
• Develop site environmental policies (waste, air permits, spill response, stormwater, wastewater).
• Coordinate with local resource agencies as the main point of contact.
