Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Safety role at our Kansas facility to lead and manage safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental practices. You will develop training, conduct audits, and partner with site leadership to minimize risks and incidents.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ year of industrial safety experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of regulatory requirements to maintain a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• BS degree in industrial safety preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Minimum 1 year safety experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
• Some knowledge of OSHA, EPA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly accident summary reports.
• Assist in maintaining OSHA 300 Logs and relevant reports.
• Assist in scheduling training courses/classes for in-house training opportunities.
• Understand Emergency Procedure and assist in scheduled drills.
• Conduct Safety Committee and First Responder meetings.
• Assist in Management of Change procedures.
• Assist in workers’ compensation reporting.
• Conduct Safety Housekeeping and Environmental audits/inspections.
• Conduct incident reporting using the GDC incident-reporting database.
