Job summary

Gables Engineering, Inc. is seeking an EHS Administrator II to support day-to-day Environmental Health & Safety programs, maintain records, coordinate training and surveillance, and help ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local compliance. The role partners with the EHS Specialist and supervisors to uphold safety policies.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, 2+ years in EHS admin, and proficiency with MS Office. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and the position is based in Florida.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's preferred in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of EHS administrative or coordination experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred; OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Hazardous Waste Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain EHS program documentation, records, and files incl. OSHA logs, training records, inspections, and permits.
• Maintain the SDS library and chemical inventory and ensure information is current and accessible.
• Coordinate and schedule EHS training, track attendance and certification expiration dates.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene and medical surveillance programs and schedule testing; maintain results confidentially.
• Assist with routine safety inspections and audits; document findings and track corrective actions.
• Support accident and near-miss investigations by gathering information and tracking actions.
• Coordinate hazardous waste activities with licensed vendors and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and postings within deadlines with guidance from EHS Specialist.
• Manage PPE inventory, ordering, and distribution; maintain emergency preparedness records.
