Job summary

NorthState Aviation seeks a seasoned Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead EHS policy development and regulatory compliance in California. You will oversee incident investigations, safety training, and security oversight within the facility, ensuring 100% adherence to safety standards and company KPIs.

You will interact with government agencies, manage hazardous materials handling, and coordinate with internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and related safety/environmental discipline.
• Fluency in English; Spanish a plus.
• Minimum six years of related experience, or OSHA/ENV/Safety background with at least 2 years of related work.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees environmental, health and safety programs to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Directs safety inspections and ensures fire protection and first-aid readiness.
• Interfaces with government agencies and coordinates with regulatory bodies.
• Develops and updates safety and environmental rules and procedures.
• Maintains records of accidents, conducts investigations and implements corrective actions.
• Coordinates security oversight of the building and access control systems.
• Administers Drug and Alcohol Safety Program per DOT/FAA regulations.
• Trains staff and approves personnel actions related to safety compliance.
