Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Compliance, Engineering, Process Safety, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
• Working knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and operations.
• Experience conducting audits and developing CAPA programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, environmental regulations, and EHS compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to travel as required, both locally and nationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site resource for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance, regulations, and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain EHS data, records, and documentation required for internal reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Research and interpret regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, programs, and training initiatives.
• Lead new hire and contractor orientation programs, employee training, and monthly safety meetings.
• Administer hazardous waste management, CalARP, air permitting, groundwater, SWPPP, and SPCC compliance programs.
• Coordinate and oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) and Occupational Medical Surveillance programs.
• Direct plant safety initiatives, Emergency Response Teams, crisis communication planning, and drills.
• Conduct facility audits, inspections, risk assessments, PPE assessments, and JSAs.
• Track, document, and drive corrective actions from audits and inspections.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and CAPA efforts.
• Manage OSHA consultation activities and participate in audits.
