Airgas is seeking an experienced EHS Manager for San Marcos, CA, to advance safety culture and regulatory compliance across multiple facilities in the region. The role requires spending significant time in the field, partnering with operations, and directing incident investigations with corrective actions.

You will lead risk reduction, ensure environmental and safety programs meet OSHA and Cal/OSHA standards, and work with leadership to embed safety into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience in environmental, health, safety, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA and other applicable regulations.
• Ability to investigate incidents, evaluate risk, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within the West Region and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Applicants must have work authorization in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsabilités

• Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety and compliance into daily business decisions.
• Provide EHS guidance to Airgas facilities across the geography, including plants, branches, and distribution operations.
• Conduct field visits and assessments to identify hazards and risks.
• Lead investigations of injuries, vehicle incidents, property damage, and near misses.
• Ensure corrective actions are effective and sustained.
• Support compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, DOT, EPA and Airgas policies.
• Guide environmental programs for hazardous materials, waste, air, and stormwater.
• Deliver safety communications, trainings, and stand-downs.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
