Job summary

Firebolt Group is seeking an EHS & Compliance Manager to lead environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory initiatives across its US manufacturing operations in Michigan. Reporting to Senior Management and collaborating with the Global Sustainability Officer, you will drive ISO alignment, SEDEX readiness, and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on EHS, quality, and compliance management within a mid-sized US manufacturing facility.
• Proven experience managing ISO 14001 standards, SEDEX (SMETA) audits, and establishing robust document control processes; experience developing roadmaps for ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO 9001 frameworks.
• Global alignment experience translating global strategy into site-level execution.
• Deep regulatory knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-level requirements.
• Certifications (Preferred): ISO/SEDEX Lead Auditor, Document Control Certification, CSP, CHMM, or OSHA 30-hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Build roadmaps to attain ISO 45001 and other certifications; maintain ISO 14001 and SEDEX readiness.
• Design and enforce safety programs, audit processes, and training; manage incident reporting and CAPA.
• Oversee centralized EHS & Quality document control; ensure audit-ready records and version control.
• Coordinate with Global Sustainability Officer on ESG and regulatory reporting.
• Interface with product design/R&D to embed safe, compliant processes in new products.
