Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Gardena is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety associate to support the Plant Manager in maintaining regulatory compliance and a safe workplace.

You will perform safety and environmental inspections, maintain EHS records, assist with incident investigations, and participate in training to reduce injuries while upholding PCC's Code of Conduct in a climate-controlled facility with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled in an EHS-related field at a post-secondary institution.
• Proficient with MS Office and internet applications.
• Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and succeed.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision and take initiative.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Completing safety and environmental inspections.
• Maintaining various EHS records.
• Complete weekly inspections/audits.
• Assist the Plant Manager in Gardena with tracking corrective actions and investigation statuses.
• Adheres to plant and department safety rules and operates equipment safely.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Support injury reduction activities to achieve a world class recordable rate.
• Assist with facilitating monthly safety training.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual required safety and environmental inspections.
• Provide new hire orientation.
• Gather information required to submit EHS reports.
• Aide with incident investigations.
• Help with ordering EHS supplies and PPE.
• Perform all aspects according to PCC Code of Conduct and SOX.
