Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Ontario, CA is seeking an EHS Specialist 1 to lead site safety and occupational health programs, report to the General Manager, and coordinate with the Division EHS Manager.

The role focuses on eliminating hazards, risk management, and fostering a zero-incident culture across manufacturing operations. The position requires 1–3+ years of EHS experience, a related bachelor's degree, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3+ years of safety/industrial hygiene or EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR or export/import regs is a plus.
• Strong OSHA regulatory knowledge including hazard comms, LOTO, machine guarding, PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of site-wide safety and health programs compliant with OSHA and federal/state standards.
• Identify hazards, perform JSAs, investigations, and track action items to closure.
• Promote safety culture and cross-functional change management on the floor.
• Partner with plant leadership to integrate safety into daily manufacturing processes.
• Lead the site Safety Committee and coordinate safety/environmental projects.
• Support environmental compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop and deliver safety training and maintain regulatory expertise.
• Oversee third-party safety/industrial hygiene consultants within budget.
• Assist with emergency response, outages, and business-continuity planning.
• Serve as site Facility Compliance Officer for export compliance matters.
