Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Associate Manager to lead EHS programs across pharmacy, distribution, and corporate operations within Omnicare. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, hazardous/pharmaceutical waste management, and risk reduction while partnering with site leadership to foster a culture of safety.

Responsibilities include managing permits and reporting, conducting inspections, driving CAPAs, and delivering EHS training.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of environmental, health, and safety experience in a regulated industry.
• 2+ years of experience working with OSHA and EPA.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time within the continental United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and state/local regs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess operational impacts.
• Support inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
• Manage environmental permits, licenses, registrations and reporting.
• Oversee hazardous, pharmaceutical, and regulated waste programs.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and promote safety culture.
• Maintain emergency response and business continuity programs.
• Track EHS metrics and communicate insights to leadership.
• Coordinate waste vendor activities and documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field
