Job summary

Horizon Corporations in Getzville, NY is seeking a Corporate Trainer to empower staff through hands-on training of the agency’s EHR system and related tools. You’ll design, deliver, and update training materials, coordinate with ES and IT, and support staff through onboarding and ongoing development.

You’ll apply adult-learning principles, test new workflows, and provide virtual office hours and in-clinic support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; substantial related experience considered
• Behavioral health work experience preferred (hospital inpatient, residential, counseling, etc.)
• Prior training or instructional design experience preferred
• Knowledge of Millennium EHR or similar systems (Epic/NextGen) is advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to tailor content for diverse audiences
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and virtual learning platforms (Teams/Zoom)

Responsibilities

• Train identified staff in the EHR including navigation and system overview
• Compose training reports detailing milestones and growth areas
• Manage classroom sessions and real-time problem-solving with supervisors
• Incorporate adult-learning principles into training design and delivery
• Update training curricula for EHR changes and improvements
• Assist with testing new internal workflows in the EHR system
• Create and revise training materials across SharePoint and learning platforms
• Coordinate with ES and IT to monitor monthly new hires
• Provide feedback and respond to trainee questions during training
• Offer virtual office hours and in-clinic support as needed
• Attend department meetings and training sessions
• Participate in committees related to training content
• Perform other related duties as required
