Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute and ability to use dictation equipment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health information, coding and indexing preferred.
  • 3–5 years minimum experience in Project Management for Electronic Health Records; Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct EHR-related projects within set deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress, identify issues and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate user training sessions, workshops, and documentation for EHR systems.
  • Assist in budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Contribute to QA and post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.

Job Description – EHR Project ManagerThe primary purpose of your job position is to implement assigned modules of the EHR Platform (PointClickcare) in all the facilities supported by PACS in accordance with current federal and state guidelines as well as in accordance with the facility’s established privacy policies and proceduresKey ResponsibilitiesReceive and follow work schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.Assist in organizing, planning and directing the EHR-related projects in accordance with set project deadlines.Assist the Senior Director of EHR Implementation as required.Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other PACS Support team members, as well as other departments in all the supported facilities, to assure that PCC modules are implemented timely and properly.Assist the Senior Director of EHR Implementation in the planning, coordination, and execution of EHR related projects.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess needs, and ensure system alignment with business objectives.Assist in developing and maintaining project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.Assist in stakeholder communication, ensuring regular updates on project status, risks, and next steps.Coordinate user training sessions, workshops, and documentation related to EHR systems.Assist in managing project budgets and resource allocations.Conduct regular system testing to ensure functionality and user acceptance.Participate in quality assurance processes and adhere to industry best practices.Contribute to post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned and best practices for future projects. Personnel FunctionsReport known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Senior Director of EHR Implementation.Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or the password protected automatic screen-saver activates within established policy guidelines. Staff DevelopmentAttend and participate in mandatory in-service training programs as scheduled (e.g., OSHA, TB, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, etc.).Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., as approvedSafety and SanitationReport all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor immediately. Equipment and Supply FunctionsReport equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible.Ensure supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and records, files, etc., are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of workday, etc.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesAs an EHR Project Manager, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.QualificationsMust poses, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute and use dictation equipment.A working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health information, coding, indexing, etc., preferred but not required.3 - 5 years minimum experience in Project Management Electronic Health Records and Skilled Nursing experience is preferred.Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology. Be knowledgeable in computers, data retrieval, input and output functions, etc.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to read technical procedures.Physical DemandsProlonged periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation, with extensive use of monitors, keyboard, and mouse.Frequent use of fine motor skills for typing, data entry, and system navigation, requiring repetitive hand and finger movements.Visual acuity to read, analyze, and interpret detailed financial data, reports, and system configurations for extended periods.Ability to communicate effectively through speaking, hearing, and understanding verbal and written instructions in a professional setting.Occasional standing, walking, or lifting of items up to 10–15 pounds, such as files or office equipment.The annual salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000, DOE.We are an equal opportunity employer.
