Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Health Information Technology Specialist to ensure our brand is integrated into leading EHR systems across priority accounts in the US. The role requires strategic thinking, initiative, and the ability to work in a matrix environment with Marketing, Access, and Sales teams.

The candidate will develop and execute customer-specific plans, engage with end users, clinicians, IT, and informatics, and address patient safety gaps within EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Extensive technical knowledge; minimum 4 years with healthcare software companies inpatient and ambulatory, including Epic, Cerner, MediTech, or within a Health System informatics group or team at leadership level, or similar role within a pharmaceutical company.
• Certifications highly recommended, including CAHIMS, CHTS, CHISP, CPHIMS and/or Epic.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare and health information technology, compendium updates and data mining techniques.
• Ability to act with accountability and urgency.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work within a matrix organization effectively and efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to apply market and competitive landscape knowledge to executable plans.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and efficiently; proven project management experience.
• Previous B2B experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential gaps/barriers within EHR systems at priority IDN’s & Health Systems.
• Problem solve and provide solutions; align resources to develop comprehensive plans by priority accounts.
• Act as matrix team Health IT subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with customers including end users, licensed clinicians, IT, informatics, EHR Manager and analyst to ensure patient safety gaps are identified in relation to the product.
• Complete needs assessment with Institutional customers to address patient safety gaps in the EHR.
