Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks an EHR Clinical Specialist in Oklahoma City to manage EHR materials, document workflows, and coordinate vendor-driven changes. The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, leadership, and the EHR vendor to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient system operations.

The ideal candidate will coordinate testing, implement changes across interfaces, and maintain comprehensive change logs while providing escalation support and on-site presence as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or Management, Project Management, Public Health, Nursing, Business, or related degree and three (3) years of experience; OR Associate’s degree plus an additional five (5) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains training materials for the EHR and assists in training.
• Maintains workflow documentation for processes and procedures using the EHR.
• Documents and communicates changes from vendor release notes impacting EHR operations.
• Recommends EHR changes to promote efficiency and tracks changes from conception to implementation.
• Coordinates testing of EHR changes with stakeholders.
• Coordinates implementation of EHR changes with superusers and leadership.
• Collaborates with EHR vendor support staff and serves as escalation point for EHR questions.
• Maintains security profiles within the EHR system and ensures role-based access.
• Presence in the office is an essential function of the job.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or Management, Project Management, Public Health, Nursing, Business, or related degree

Three years of experience (or five years with an Associate’s degree)
