Job summary

Peak Performers is seeking an experienced EHR Administrator to support Oklahoma’s public health clinical network. You will configure, maintain, and secure the state’s EHR platform, manage interfaces, and lead change from concept to deployment.

This onsite role requires collaboration with public health managers, trainers, and vendors to ensure accurate data and compliant privacy. The contract runs 6–12 months with competitive hourly pay and a fast interview process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, IT, public health, nursing, or related field with 3+ years experience or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering enterprise EHR platforms and health data interfaces.
  • Experience managing change requests, software testing, and documenting complex clinical workflows.
  • Strong cross-functional communication translating vendor release notes for leadership and staff.
  • Experience handling PHI with strict privacy, security, and governance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and maintain the state EHR platform, including security profiles, code tables, updates, and workflows.
  • Serve as primary escalation for complex EHR issues, resolve interface errors, coordinate vendor resolutions.
  • Oversee system change management from concept to deployment, track requirements, logs, and conduct UAT.
  • Collaborate with public health managers, trainers, and EHR Governance Committee to design, document, and update SOPs and training materials.
  • Coordinate with vendor support, state IT teams, and program admins to plan and execute statewide clinical initiatives.

Job description

Ensure optimal performance of Oklahoma's public health clinical network by providing specialized administration, interface management, and system-wide support for the state's Electronic Health Records system.

The Team You Will be Joining

You will be joining the clinical operations division of a state-level public health agency, supporting county health departments and regional health centers across Oklahoma. This multi-disciplinary unit coordinates with agency leadership, clinical superusers, system support staff, and software vendors to maintain seamless healthcare technology workflows. By ensuring the stability, security, and accuracy of the EHR infrastructure, this team directly empowers public health staff and clinical providers state-wide.

Major Duties
  • Manage, configure, and maintain the state EHR platform, including role-based security profiles, code tables, system updates, and workflow configurations.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of escalation for complex EHR application issues, resolving interface errors and coordinating vendor resolutions.
  • Oversee system change management from concept to deployment, tracking requirements, maintaining change logs, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Partner with public health managers, trainers, and the EHR Governance Committee to design, document, and update standardized operational procedures and training materials.
  • Collaborate with vendor support staff, state IT teams, and programmatic administrators to plan and execute state-wide clinical system initiatives.
What Are We Looking For?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, IT, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field plus 3 years of experience; OR anAssociate'sdegree plus 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands‑on experience administering, configuring, or troubleshooting enterprise Electronic Health Records (EHR) platforms and health data interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage system change requests, conduct software testing, and document complex clinical workflows.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills to translate technical vendor release notes for public health leadership and clinic‑level staff.
  • Proven experience handling sensitive health information (PHI) while upholding strict data privacy, security, and governance standards.

  • Rate: $30.00/hour
  • Contract: 6–12 months
  • Worksite Location: Oklahoma City, OK73102 (100% onsite)
  • Work Arrangement: Onsite (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
