Job summary
UTMB Health is seeking an EHR Clin Apps Support Specialist to provide end-user support for the UTMB Electronic Medical Record System and other clinical systems. The role includes assisting in implementing technology solutions, training staff, and ensuring efficient operation of clinical applications across ambulatory and inpatient settings.
Preferred candidates have Epic/EHR experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare IT environment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of related experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support for the UTMB EHR and clinical systems on a 24/7 basis.
- Respond to end-user support requests via telephone, shadowing, or onsite.
- Assist end users with optimizing system functionality in clinics and hospitals.
- Assist in classroom settings as proctor or instructor.
- Assist analysts with application and printer testing.
- Assist with end-user support onsite for rollouts and implementations.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Able to work remotely when needed and travel between sites as required.
