Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience in EHR implementation and support; or 2-5 years of operational experience using EHR applications.
• Ability to analyze large data sets effectively and efficiently.
• Vendor certification in good standing (or proficiency) for assigned applications; 6 months to obtain if not certified.
• Experience with web-based applications and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

• Defines, documents, builds and maintains EHR application content.
• Creates functional specification documents and validates content with business owners.
• Completes assigned projects with moderate supervision and develops project management skills.
• Escalates issues that may impact deliverables.
• Maintains certifications and stays current with new EHR functionality.
• Acts as liaison between IT, customers and vendors and participates in cross-functional meetings.
• Prepares and maintains analysis, design, programming, procedures and user guides.
• Performs other duties to meet department and customer needs.
• Provides on-call/after-hours support as required.
• Mentors junior colleagues in application knowledge.
