Job summary

Amcor Limited in Oregon is seeking an EH&S Manager to develop, implement, and manage safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance. You will identify hazards, investigate incidents, and lead safety training and onboarding for employees.

You will also oversee Management of Change for new equipment, track training, and coordinate with supervisors and contractors to maintain a safe work environment across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, implementing, and managing safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations and incident investigations.
• Ability to organize training, onboarding, and safety meetings; track compliance.
• Experience with incident reporting, safety audits and training matrices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.
• Investigate and prepare presentations for all incidents and property losses.
• Organize and oversee required safety training (forklift, lockout, onboarding).
• Provide safety orientation for new employees.
• Conduct Management of Change on new equipment.
• Provide Supervisors with safety training information for meetings.
• Track training to ensure compliance with Training Matrix.
• Identify gaps in training curriculum from injury/illness data.
• Manage contractor safety program and ensure compliance.
• Assist inspection personnel (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.).
• Manage environmental permits and ensure compliance.
• Assist in purchasing PPE.
• Prepare monthly incident summary reports.
• Supervise OSHA 300 log maintenance and safety teams.
• Support site as safety mentor for visitors.
• File and maintain SDS sheets.
• Assist with workers' compensation administration.
• Budget for safety capital expenditure and annual safety budget.
• Manage property/casualty insurance claims.
• Perform duties as directed by Regional EHS Director.
