The Alaska Department of Revenue, Division of Child Support Services, is seeking an Accounting Technician 3 in Anchorage to manage EFT and debit card disbursements for the statewide program. This role emphasizes accurate accounting, reconciliation, and reporting across multiple systems with opportunity to support CSSD trust accounting.

Open to Alaska residents only; a strong emphasis on detail, reliability, and collaboration in a public-service environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical level accounting or bookkeeping experience, of which at least one year was at the full-proficiency level.
• Substitutions available include Accounting Technician certification or post-secondary accounting education as described.

Responsabilités

• Manage EFT and Debit Card program for the CSSD, ensuring timely disbursement of child support payments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve EFT issues and maintain client account information.
• Assist with daily balancing of the CSSD trust account, including deposits, checks, transactions, and bank reconciliations.
• Retrieve, review, and analyze financial reports across NSTAR, TSO, and banking platforms to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide backup support to the Finance Section, including trust account reconciliation and related duties.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of general accounting practices and a high attention to detail.
