Job summary

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Central Region, seeks an Accounting Technician 1 to help process all Central Region Time & Equipment timesheets in the IRIS system and to support the Budget Section in reviewing financial activities across regions.

The role emphasizes clerical accounting tasks, data entry, and cooperation with the Administrative Officer 1 and Budget Analyst 2. A standard 37.5-hour week and telework option after probation are available.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included computer use and basic arithmetic.
• Substitutions: vocational accounting program or college education may substitute for experience.
• Educ transcripts may be required to verify credentials used to meet qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Process Central Region Time & Equipment timesheets in IRIS; create, complete, review and approve ICT documents.
• Provide support to Administrative Officer 1 and Budget Analyst 2 in reviewing financial activities.
• Assist with budgets within Design, Engineering & Construction across regions and statewide.
