Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading and compacting waste, and reporting needed repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Document minor maintenance and refer complex issues to Maintenance Shop.
• Complete reports and communicate needed repairs to supervisor.
• Follow safety policies and keep shop clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
