Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic EEG Technologist at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in a full-time 36-hour work week. The role includes performing EEGs, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality recordings while managing on-call duties and avoiding weekend shifts beyond on-call periods.

The position requires EEG technologist registration within one year and BLS within six months, with typically 2 years of Neurodiagnostic experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Electroencephalographic Technologist registration (R EEG T) within 1 year and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months.
• Typically requires 2 years of Neurodiagnostic Tech experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills; intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs and maintains competency in EEGs and portable inpatient EEGs with appropriate electrode placements and testing.
• Prepares patients, gathers medical history, and explains procedures to patients and families.
• Documents findings, monitors artifacts, and adjusts equipment to obtain optimal recordings.
