Job summary

Advocate Health Pineville Neurodiagnostic is seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic technologist to perform EEGs, NCV, and evoked potentials with emphasis on accuracy and patient care. Primary shift is Monday through Friday, 11pm to 7am, with potential weekend rotation and holiday/call based on staffing needs.

The role requires graduation from a Neurodiagnostic program, BLS, EEG registry eligibility, and ABRET EEG certification within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred.
• ABRET certification in EEG required within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex EEG procedures, NCV, EP and other tests as trained.
• Operates and troubleshoots neurodiagnostic equipment per manuals.
• Performs Neurodiagnostic procedures using test strategies and electrode montages.
• Obtains patient history and transfers to technologist’s report.
• Adopts methods to obtain optimal results based on history and findings.
• Adheres to ABRET standards for test recordings.
• Maintains complete record keeping and archived data.
• Assists with long-term monitoring and intraoperative neuromonitoring as appropriate.
• Provides actions during seizures and medical emergencies.
• Demonstrates infection control practices.
• Handles hazardous materials safely.
• Provides supervision to new technologists and interns.
• Participates in ordering and maintaining supplies.
