Job summary

Mayflower School District is seeking a Technology Assistant to support the district's technology infrastructure and classrooms. The role reports to the Technology Director and requires hands-on work with LAN/WAN networks and district devices.

Responsibilities include assisting with installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and end-user support, while ensuring security and efficient operation of technology resources across campuses.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree or certificates in a relevant field.
• Experience in technology field or internship preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, colleagues, service providers, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain district network and device support.
• Provide customer service and respond to technology requests.
• Assist with designing, configuring, upgrading, and repairing local and wide area infrastructure.
• Evaluate, test, and recommend technology for use in the educational environment.
• Document hardware failures, repairs, and installations.
• Coordinate with administrators on technology purchases and deployments.
• Support the integration of technology into the curriculum.
• Maintain district Wi‑Fi security and content filtering.
