Qualifications

• Documentation of at least three (3) years of post-secondary education or 90 hours in an educationally related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; understanding of the instructional process; and awareness of student needs.
• Knowledge of emergency, health, and safety procedures preferred.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing in-service training as requested by administration.
• Must hold or be eligible for Maine Educational Technician III Authorization and CHRC Approval Certificate.
• Ability to maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding student information.
• Prior experience in education is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: work with individual students or small groups under direct supervision.
• Non-Instructional Support: administer, score, and record assessments as directed; assist with instructional materials and equipment; provide input to IEP processes.
• Computer Lab Responsibilities: support lab tech, network functions, budget, inventory, and curriculum integration.
• Classroom and Library/Media support: copy, type, file, check materials in/out, and assist with cataloging.
• Special Education: assist with IEP prep and provide classroom & student management support.
