This Educational Technician III position focuses on instructional and non-instructional support, computer lab responsibilities, materials preparation, and collaboration with staff to promote student success under the direction of the principal or designee.

Qualifications

• Documentation of at least three (3) years of post-secondary education or a combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved study in an educationally related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; understanding of the instructional process; and awareness of student needs.
• Knowledge of emergency, health, and safety procedures preferred.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing in-service training as requested by administration.
• Must hold or be eligible for State of Maine Educational Technician III Authorization and CHRC Approval Certificate.
• Demonstrated aptitude and competence for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning under direct supervision.
• Administer, score, and record assessments as directed.
• Provide primary support for computer lab technology, troubleshooting, maintenance, and software updates.
• Assist with IEP preparation and related materials management.
• Assist with supervision duties including recess, lunch, bus, study hall, and detention.
• Serve as a primary information source for substitute teachers.
• Introduce new learning activities planned with the classroom teacher.
