RSU 57/MSAD 57 SCHOOL DISTRICT in Waterboro, ME is seeking an Educational Technician III Instructional Support & Intervention to assist teaching staff and maintain an effective classroom environment at Waterboro Elementary School. The role encompasses instructional and non-instructional support, computer lab and library duties, special education assistance, and supervision tasks as part of the school team.

A competitive hourly pay range is provided and eligibility for Maine ETA III authorization

Qualifications

• Documentation of at least three years of post-secondary education or 90 hours of approved study in an educationally related field.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing in-service training as requested by administration.
• Must hold or be eligible for State of Maine Educational Technician III Authorization and CHRC Approval Certificate.
• Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding student information.
• Prior experience in education is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: Work with students under supervision; develop strategies to reinforce material.
• Non-Instructional Support: Administer, score, and record assessments; assist with materials and equipment.
• Computer Lab/Library/Media: Provide lab and media support, catalog materials, check in/out items, assist with instruction.
• Special Education: Assist with IEP preparation and provide classroom & student management support.
• Classroom & Supervision: Supervise students during recess, lunch, drills, field trips; provide escort and assistance as needed.
