Job summary

REGIONAL SCHOOL UNIT NO. 57 in Waterboro, ME, is seeking an Educational Technician III Instructional Support & Intervention at Waterboro Elementary School to assist teaching staff and help maintain an effective classroom environment.

Responsibilities include instructional and non-instructional support, computer lab maintenance, instructional materials preparation, library/media assistance, and special education support, with involvement in IEP processes and student management.

Qualifications

• Three years of post-secondary education or equivalent (90 hours) in an education-related field.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with understanding of instructional process and student needs.
• Knowledge of emergency, health and safety procedures preferred.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing in-service training as requested by administration.
• Must hold or be eligible for Maine Educational Technician III Authorization and CHRC approval.
• Ability to maintain ethics and confidentiality regarding student information.
• Prior education experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to individual students or small groups under supervision.
• Develop strategies to reinforce material based on student needs and abilities.
• Assist in developing and supporting enrichment and remedial work.
• Administer, score, and record assessments as directed.
• Assist with instructional materials and equipment.
• Provide input to IEP processes and parent conferences when requested.
• Provide primary support for computer lab technology, including troubleshooting and software updates.
• Support network functions and building-wide technology needs.
