Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas to support students with communication challenges within educational settings.

Responsibilities include evaluating needs, sharing results with parents and district personnel, developing evidence-based interventions, delivering therapy or supervising assistants, and maintaining progress records. ARD participation and advocacy for student programs are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students’ needs for specialized therapy services.
• Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education.
• Provide Therapy: Deliver therapy services directly or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
• Support Team: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and support students’ special education programs.
