Job summary

Carter Hears! in the United States is seeking a Sign Language Facilitator for the 2026–2027 school year.

You will support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students using ASL, voice, gesture, and print to enhance access and participation. The role emphasizes language development, collaboration with Teachers of the Deaf and classroom staff, and a supportive, growth-oriented environment with professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (REQUIRED).
• Native ASL User (REQUIRED).
• EIPA 2.5+, ASLPI 3+, or BEI Basic (REQUIRED).
• Passed EIPA Written Test (REQUIRED).
• Associates or Bachelors degree in required field (preferred).
• NIC/CDI (preferred).
• Experience working with children (preferred).
• Background check, liability insurance, TB test.

Responsibilities

• Use ASL, voice, gesture, and print as needed.
• Scaffold and model language development.
• Support student comprehension and participation.
• Collaborate with Teachers of the Deaf and classroom staff.
