Job summary

Carter Hears! is seeking an Educational Interpreter for the 2026–2027 school year to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This role focuses on accurate classroom interpretation and facilitating access to instruction.

Preferred candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with EIPA 3.5+ and/or NIC credentials, and will pass a background check, provide liability insurance and TB test results as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Experience in educational interpreting.
• EIPA Written Test preferred.
• EIPA 3.5+ required or NIC preferred.
• Background check, liability insurance, TB test.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, developmentally appropriate classroom interpretation.
• Support student comprehension and classroom engagement.
• Monitor student comprehension, provide feedback to teachers, and assist with hearing technology as needed.
