Job summary

Applytoeducation’s client, the Simcoe County District School Board, seeks an Educational Assistant to support students across academic, behavioral, social and life skills areas. The role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements include a relevant university degree or a two-year college diploma in human services, plus Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Qualifications

• A relevant university degree or a two-year college diploma in the human services field.
• BMS training is required.
• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management techniques and safety plans.
• Toileting and lifting are required.
• Ability to implement behaviour management plans and safety plans.
