Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking an Instructional Assistant to work in Neshamiy Public School District - Elementary, supporting students with autism and other special education needs under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher.

The role includes implementing IEPs and PBSPs, assisting with student personal needs, participating in meetings, and applying crisis intervention techniques under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Associates degree required.
• At least one year of experience in an educational setting working with individuals with autism or other special education populations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support and maintain classroom policies and procedures, modeling appropriate behavior and providing emotional support.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and PBSPs as directed by the teacher.
• Help with student personal needs, including medical needs with health staff.
• Participate in meetings and in-service training as assigned.
• Support team decisions and cooperate with others inside and outside the team.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques under supervision as appropriate to safety.
